Sindh Government Allocates Additional Funds for Security during General Elections:
- The caretaker provincial cabinet in Sindh has approved an additional grant of Rs625.467 million to enhance security measures during the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8.
- The funds will be allocated to the police, Rangers, traffic police, and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) office to cover expenses related to maintaining law and order during the electoral process.
- The breakdown of the allocated funds includes provisions for feeding charges, fuel for vehicles, hiring of vehicles, auxiliary force, repair of transport/machinery, stationary, and miscellaneous expenditures.
- Of the total amount, Rs437.827 million (70%) will be released immediately, with the remaining funds to be disbursed upon the submission of reconciled and verified bills after the elections.

Karachi Mayor Launches Campaign to Install Manhole Covers Across the City:
- Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab, who is also the chairman of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC), has launched a campaign to put covers on the open manholes across the city.
- The campaign aims to enhance safety and prevent accidents caused by open manholes. The initiative will be conducted in phases, covering various districts in Karachi.
- Manhole covers will be installed under the supervision of the executive engineer and elected UC chairman, with the mayor urging all stakeholders to work together for the betterment of the city.
