Sindh governor directed to contact ex-PM Liaquat Ali Khan’s ailing son

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Wednesday received instructions from Prime Minister Imran Khan to contact former Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan’s ailing son Akbar Ali Khan.

A press release from the PM Office said that the governor has been directed to contact the family and ensure that the expenses for Khan’s medical treatment be borne by the government.

The development came after the Sindh government already announced that it will bear all the expenses for the treatment of Akbar Liaquat Ali Khan. The Sindh government had also decided to pay a monthly allowance to the Khan’s son. Murtaza Wahab said the orders to this effect had been issued by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

Before either of the developments. on July 23, President Dr Arif Alvi had visited the residence of Akbar Liaquat Ali Khan.
