Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is in Karachi. Considering Asif Ali Zardari’s current health, he will also pay a visit to the latter.
According to sources with direct knowledge of the situation, the PM will visit Karachi on September 29 to meet with several authorities, including PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
In contrast, the premier said during the cabinet meeting that the previous finance minister, Miftah Ismail, worked arduously to prevent the country from going into debt.
During his remarks, he thanked Ismail and mentioned that it was thanks to his efforts that the IMF programme had been restarted.
The PM also wished Ishaq Dar, the recently appointed Finance Minister, well in his new role and expressed optimism that he would make every effort to lead the nation in the right direction.
It is important to note that Ishaq Dar, who has been away from the nation for five years, has been sworn in as the new finance minister, replacing Miftah Ismail, who resigned from his position.
