The Qiwa platform has announced that Saudi Arabia has launched a new three-month temporary work visa that can be issued immediately without any required documents. The visa grants the holder permission to work for three months from the entry date and can be extended for a similar period. The best part of this visa is that it does not require the holder to issue a work permit or residency, making the process much easier and less complicated.
According to Gulf News, businesses are required to submit a request for a visa through the business owner or a commissioner on Qiwa business. The Qiwa platform is an electronic portal that provides access to the Ministry of Human Resources’ various services in the labor sector.
However, there are certain regulations for this service. The enterprise must be active and have a valid commercial registration, except for the activities that do not require commercial registration. Additionally, the enterprises under the same unified number must not have any expired work permits and must have sufficient credit in the national unified number of the enterprise on the Absher account.
The temporary work visa is electronic and is valid for up to one year. Rejection reasons for a request for the temporary visa include an insufficient balance in the unified number of the enterprise on Absher and rejection from the Interior Ministry. The temporary work visa balance package can be canceled, and government fees refunded, provided the business owner or a commissioner submits the cancellation request.
This new temporary work visa is a significant development in the labor sector of Saudi Arabia, making it easier for foreign workers to obtain a visa without the lengthy paperwork process.
