According to Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, he paid for his own airfare and lodging during his trips abroad to lessen the financial strain on the government coffers.
In response to a query regarding the costs associated with his international travel, FM According to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, he is the only Pakistani foreign minister who pays for his own travel expenses and hotel bills when he travels abroad.
Even if I do, he claimed, it is within his authority as foreign minister. He clarified that he is the foreign minister and not the interior minister. Bilawal claimed that the Pakistani people benefit from his travels abroad.
The foreign minister said that Pakistan exits the grey list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) due to his efforts while his foreign visits gave economic advantages to Pakistan.
He said that Pakistan is leading G77, the alliance of developing countries across the globe which is a major success as a nation. He said that people should analyse the records of the G77 reforms.
FM Bilawal said that the developing nations demanded the financial institutions give priority to the poor countries instead of the rich countries.
