Four members of the same family including a mother and her son were arrested for transporting drugs from Balochistan to Karachi on Tuesday.
According to SSP Keamari Fida Hussain Janwari, Rozina Naimatullah, her son Hikmatullah, and two other members of the same family were arrested for carrying 11kgs of hashish. The arrest was made when the women were being frisked by lady constables of the Mochko PS at Hub River Road.
The arrested females had wrapped the drugs around their bodies.
Police claims that the suspects may be members of an inter-provincial drug cartel. A case had been registered and further investigations were underway.
