The fleet of Karachi’s People’s Bus Service has seen a significant expansion, reaching a total of 192 buses with the activation of 30 hybrid diesel buses that were previously parked at the port for two months due to non-payment of customs duty.
After resolving the customs duty issue, these buses are set to be operational on three designated routes in Karachi, contributing to the enhancement of public transportation services in the city.
Launched in June 2022, the People’s Bus Service has gradually expanded its operations and currently operates on 10 routes across Karachi. The addition of the 30 hybrid diesel buses marks a positive development, indicating the ongoing efforts to improve and augment the public transportation system in the metropolitan area.
