Karachi University on Thursday announced that a transgender person has been admitted to its M Phil programme, for the first time in Pakitsn.
The decision was approved in a meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research.
A dean who attended the meeting was quoted by Jang as saying that Nasha Rao had low marks in the test but was allowed to take part in the M.Phil in law due to their great interest in higher education.
