It has been uncovered that bogus notes are being circulated in Karachi’s marketplaces, and the police have apprehended the group involved. A crew was discovered distributing counterfeit notes at bachat bazaars and marketplaces. Five people were nabbed by Khokhrapar police for distributing counterfeit notes.
According to police, the apprehended gang used to distribute phoney currency notes in various marketplaces and thrift markets; more than 180,000 false currency notes were discovered from the accused; and the gang had been operating in the city for a long time.
The State Bank of Pakistan has implemented the most effective steps to detect and prevent counterfeit cash. To capture counterfeit notes, the bank has made sure that individuals know how to spot a suspect note.
Director Finance State Bank Kadir Bakhsh informed citizens about the difference between fake and genuine notes.
He said that some people rub the note on white paper and see if the note bleeds colour or not.
