Karachi’s Dow University Hospital, Ojha Campus now boasts of owning Pakistan’s first public sector Gamma Knife radiosurgery facility.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the facility on Friday. Karachi Administrator Murad Ali Shah tweeted the development saying: “This is the first such intervention at a public sector hospital in Pakistan. … This painless technology is known worldwide for treatment of tumours.”

At the inauguration, CM Shah said that Sindh will always have the PPP-led government’s support, in spite of garnering criticism from all sides.
“There is still a lot that needs to be done but we don’t have enough resources,” the CM lamented.
