Dubai municipality launches ‘Future Talents’ scholarship program for UAE national university students

Dubai Municipality has taken a significant step towards supporting UAE national university students by opening registrations for the ‘Future Talents’ scholarship program. The initiative aims to guide and welcome students majoring in various scientific disciplines that hold high demand in the job market.

As part of its efforts to provide promising opportunities to university students, Dubai Municipality seeks to foster their skills and abilities and bolster the Emiratisation policy in the Emirate of Dubai.

Aisha Al Hammadi, Director of the Human Resources Department at Dubai Municipality, emphasized the program’s alignment with the wise leadership’s directives and commitment to supporting the Emiratisation policy in Dubai. Through this initiative, the municipality aims to attract talented Emirati students, enhance their scientific knowledge, offer them practical experience, and equip them with the necessary tools to face future challenges successfully.

The ‘Future Talents’ scholarship program prioritizes disciplines that align with Dubai Municipality’s employment fields, ensuring the enhancement of its workforce sustainability. Students from various scientific fields are encouraged to apply, including civil and architectural engineering, agricultural engineering and sciences, public health, environmental sciences, sustainability and environmental health, food security, and information systems with specializations in data science and business solutions, as well as information technology with specializations in application development, networking, and cloud computing.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must be UAE citizens and enrolled in their third or fourth academic year in one of the required majors. They must also have a cumulative GPA of at least 3 and should not be pursuing more than one scholarship simultaneously. Male students must have completed their national service to participate in the initiative.

The ‘Future Talents’ scholarship program aims to guide skilled Emirati students towards a successful future, nurturing their potential and paving the way for their continued growth and accomplishments. This initiative reflects Dubai Municipality’s commitment to advancing its workforce and fostering specialized careers across various fields of work within the municipality.
