The rise in street crimes in Karachi, which has resulted in more than 80 citizens losing their lives while resisting robbery attempts during the first seven months of 2023, can be attributed to the desperate economic conditions driving criminals to resort to extreme measures, according to a statement by Additional Inspector General (IG) Karachi Javed Alam Odho, as reported by ARY News.
Additional IG Karachi, Javed Alam Odho, presented a unique perspective on the surge in street crimes, highlighting the impact of prevailing economic challenges on criminal behavior.
