The work of setting up a market for sacrificial animals on the Super Highway in Karachi is in its early stages but in such a situation a bull belonging to a trader from Sahiwal was stolen which was recovered by the police from Liaquatabad.
According to Sachal police station SHO Aurangzeb Khattak, Saif-ur-Rehman, a trader from Sahiwal, had arrived at the Karachi cattle market the previous day with an animal. A suspect, under the pretext of watering it took it away from the seller and then declared the animal sick outside the market, fleeing with it under the pretext of showing it to the doctor.
According to police, the accused Shehzad sold the bull to a butcher in Liaqatabad for Rs 70,000.
The police acted on the complaint of the administration and two accused Shehzad Ali and Zeeshan involved in the incident were arrested and the bull was recovered.
