Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the spokesperson of the Sindh government, has officially opened a futsal ground in Karachi. The newly inaugurated facility, named after the legendary Brazilian footballer Pelé, is located in the Saddar area of the city.
Wahab took to Twitter to share a video of the futsal ground and expressed his delight in providing this recreational space for the community. The Pelé football ground will be available for children to use free of charge, and futsal teams are also invited to play matches there.
The initiative has received positive feedback from the public, who appreciate the efforts of the former administrator of Karachi in promoting sports facilities. This latest project adds to Wahab’s previous contributions to the city’s sports infrastructure, including the development of a sports facility under a bridge in Clifton.
Wahab emphasized the importance of creating a positive environment in Karachi and expressed his commitment to continuing efforts to provide quality facilities for the residents of the city. During the inauguration, Murtaza Wahab was joined by popular film star Saud, and both expressed their satisfaction with the progress being made in enhancing recreational opportunities in Karachi, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
