In a setback for Pakistan’s cricket team, Azam Khan, the hard-hitting batsman, has been ruled out of the upcoming T20 series against New Zealand due to injury. Khan, who had been experiencing discomfort in his right leg during batting, underwent medical assessment following the complaint.
Following the medical examination, it was revealed that Khan had sustained an injury to his calf muscle, forcing him to withdraw from the series. As a result, he has been advised by medical professionals to take a ten-day rest period to facilitate his recovery.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that Azam Khan will report to the PCB medical panel at the National Cricket Academy. Under the supervision of the medical panel, Khan’s rehabilitation process will commence to ensure his full recovery before returning to competitive cricket.
This injury comes as a blow to both Azam Khan and the Pakistan cricket team, as they prepare to face New Zealand in the upcoming T20 series. However, the team management remains hopeful that Khan will make a swift recovery and be back in action soon.
