Due to Karachi’s local bodies’ election and cricket matches falling on the same day, the municipal elections appear to be in danger once again.
The Pakistan-New Zealand ODI cricket match is also scheduled to take place in Karachi on January 15, so the police security in Karachi will now have to decide between those two events.
Elections for local bodies are scheduled for January 15 in Karachi Division. The Sindh government has already been made aware of the lack of security personnel by police officials.
On the other hand, the New Zealand team is coming to Pakistan to play a cricket series after a long time, and many police officers will be on security duty in the Pakistan-New Zealand cricket series.
The Test match against the New Zealand team will start in Karachi on December 27. Three ODI matches between Pakistan and New Zealand are also scheduled to be played in Karachi.
Pakistan New Zealand ODI matches will be held on January 11, 13 and 15 at National Stadium Karachi.
