Two brothers were buried alive under debris after the road they were digging for a water connection caved in in Karachi’s North Nazimabad area.
The tragic incident occurred in North Nazimabad’s Block S neighbourhood while digging for the installation of a water pipeline in a street.

According to rescue officials, the deceased labourers were siblings who lived in the same neighbourhood. Muzammil and Sufyan were the names of the deceased men.
Following the incident, bystanders attempted to rescue the buried labourers by clearing the debris. According to police, a body was pulled from the rubble, and another labourer died from his injuries while being transported to the hospital.
Following the fatal accident, the pit was immediately covered.
