Inoculation of children aged 12 and above to begin: NCOC

The National Command and Control Centre on Tuesday announced on Tuesday that the inoculation process of children 12 and over will now be commenced in the country

Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, while making this announcement said:  "A special drive will be run for vaccination at schools to make it easier for children to be vaccinated.”

"Non-vaccinated people will be facing various restrictions from October 1 Get yourself completely vaccinated immediately.” the NCOC had sent out a warning earlier in the day.

Earlier this month, the government had allowed citizens above the age of 17 to get vaccinated and immunocompromised children above the age of 12 were also allowed to be inoculated upon showing their medical documents.

According to NCOC statistics, the country administered 961,340 Covid-19 doses on September 27. So far, Pakistan has administered 79,531,641 doses.
