The Sindh Education Department on Friday suspended the license of a school after its staff was allegedly involved in torturing a student’s parent for not clearing his dues on time.
On Wednesday, a video of a father surfaced on social media where the man claimed to have been tortured by the staff of a private school in front of his son.
The man had alleged that the school had locked up students who had not paid their fees in a room and had misbehaved with him and tortured him in front of his son.
Taking notice of the matter, the provincial minister for education had directed members of the board to investigate the matter and visit the school to find out what had occurred there.
The staff did what had been asked, however, school staff refused to let members of the board into the premises. Following the development, the minister directed the board to suspend the school’s license.
