Sindh’s business community and the provincial government on Thursday remained in deadlock over the ban on keeping businesses open on Friday and Sunday over the fear of the spread of Covid-19.
While the meeting between the two sides was productive on some matters regarding restrictions Covid-19 restrictions on businesses, the main matter at hand remained unresolved.
The provincial government is expected to issue a notification in this regard on Thursday night. The notification will determine if the businesses will remain open on Friday or not.
The development is expected after a meeting between a delegation of traders and commissioner and provincial minister Nasir Hussain Shah.
Faizan Rawat said in a statement that the traders have apprised Nasir Hussain Shah about their issues and demanded the government to allow businesses to function on Friday.
