Atif Aslam has revealed recently that his greatest wish of all time is to recite the Azaan at the Holy Ka’aba.
Bol News quoted Aslam as saying that he prayed to one day be the voice reciting the call to prayer at the holiest Muslim site in the world.
"I am ready to work for whoever can do this favour for me for the rest of my life,” he said.
Taking about the recording of him reciting the Azaan which is up on his YouTube channel, Aslam said: "A day before recording it, I couldn’t sleep at night because of excitement. The feeling was beyond words. I never thought I’d be blessed enough to get a chance like this.”
Responding to a question regarding maintaining a balance between his religious and musical life, Aslam said: “I am trying to keep up with both the religion and the world. However, I am human and we are all flawed.”
When questioned over the prospect of quitting his music career, he said: “I am not going to quit music. There is no such thing on my mind.”
