The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has inaugurated the new Ahmed Shah Building at Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi. The CM also took oath of the newly elected governing body and co-opted members of Arts Council.
The CM appreciated the Ahmed Shah and his team for promoting art and culture in the city and also talked about the law and order situation of it. “Today situation of the city is very different, we had announced the PSL final and it held at Karachi last year. This year, Karachi will again host five matches of PSL,” he said.
While talking about the current situation of business and trade, he said that the flow of money was facing some crisis but the government were very hopeful that it will rise again. “Our engineers have build Middle East and Europe and they have the ability to recreate Pakistan and cope up with the issues,” he told.
He also congratulated to the newly elected governing body, members and co-opted members of Arts Council of Pakistan. On the occasion, president Arts Council of Pakistan Muhammad Ahmed Shah also addressed the attendees. “No one can become a leader without helping the people, Arts Council of Pakistan opted the poets, writers, artists and philosophers of Pakistan after my arrival, we didn’t have any gun or sword in our hands but we had pen, brush and tongue to change the fate of Pakistan and we did so,” he told.
The President announced the upcoming events of Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi and said that the venue will host a world culture summit and show the positive image of Pakistan and Karachi.
He said that Arts council of Pakistan will also host Faiz festival, cultural conference and women conference this year. Minister of Education and culture Sindh Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shalwani, business leader Siraj Qasim Taili, Shamim Farpo and others were also present on the oath taking an inauguration ceremony.
