Despite the passing of several days since the deadline to announce the schedule, the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 issue is yet to reach a final decision.
As per media reports, the top Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials are present in Dubai and are part of negotiations that are currently underway regarding the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The reports indicated that the PCB officials are negotiating with the ICC on the executive level and not backed down from its ‘fusion model.’
Meanwhile, the report suggested that the final decision regarding the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will most likely to reached this week.
It is pertinent to mention here that several matters have been delayed as the schedule of the tournament has not been announced.

It should be noted here that the International Cricket Council (ICC) is considering a ‘partnership formula’ or ‘Fusion model’ to end the deadlock between PCB and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
If accepted, Pakistan will play their matches in a neutral venue for three years, while Dubai is the most likely venue for both teams under the fusion model.
During this period, three ICC events are scheduled to be held in India, including Women’s World Cup 2025, co-hosting of T20 World Cup 2026 with Sri Lanka, and Champions Trophy 2027.
The media report further disclosed that the apex cricketing body has suggested BCCI to accept the fusion model to resolve the pressing issue without voting.
