The Pakistani rupee weakened by 09 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Tuesday, closing at Rs 277.84 compared to the previous rate of Rs 277.75.
In the open market, the dollar was traded at Rs 277.30 for buying and Rs 278.90 for selling, as per the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP).
The Euro saw a significant increase of 85 paisa, closing at Rs 291.12, up from Rs 290.27 the previous day, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). Meanwhile, the Japanese yen appreciated slightly by 01 paisa to close at Rs 1.80.
The British Pound, however, saw a minor decrease of 19 paisa, settling at Rs 348.62 from the previous day’s Rs 348.81.
Among Gulf currencies, the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal each gained 02 paisa, closing at Rs 75.64 and Rs 73.99, respectively.
