Met dept predicts lower than normal rain for Pakistan except northern regions

The Meteorological Department has forecasted below-normal rainfall for the months of June, July, and August in Pakistan, while predicting above-normal rainfall in the northern areas of the country.

Following three days of continuous rain and hailstorms, the precipitation has ceased across the country. However, there is a possibility of rain accompanied by strong winds and thunder in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and adjacent regions.

The weather in Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan is expected to remain hot and dry today. The Meteorological Department has stated that below-normal rainfall can be expected during the months of June, July, and August, while the northern areas may experience above-normal rainfall.

The department also mentioned that towards the end of the season, temperatures may rise in the upper regions, leading to the melting of snow and an increase in the flow of rivers.

Meanwhile, Karachi will continue to experience hot and humid weather today. The Meteorological Department has stated that there is currently no chance of rain in Karachi.
