A gang of robbers executed a daring robbery at a hotel in Karachi’s Ibrahim Hyderi area on Monday, making off with cash, cell phones, and other valuable belongings of the visitors. The incident highlights the escalating street crimes plaguing Karachi.
Local police, quoted by ARY News, reported that a group of three to four robbers targeted the hotel, where visitors were present. The criminals systematically deprived the patrons of their valuables and proceeded to loot Rs40,000 from the hotel’s cash counter.
In an attempt to resist the robbery, the hotel owner bravely opened fire at the assailants. However, he sustained injuries during the exchange of gunfire. The robbers managed to escape the scene, abandoning one of their motorbikes.
Law enforcement authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident in an effort to identify and apprehend the culprits responsible for the robbery.
The incident comes as Karachi witnesses an alarming rise in street crimes, raising concerns among the city’s residents. Despite efforts to maintain law and order, such incidents continue to challenge the safety and security of the local population.
Just last week, a courageous woman demonstrated exemplary bravery by thwarting an attempted robbery targeting a family in another part of Karachi. The incident occurred on Rashid Minhas Road when two suspects on a motorcycle attempted to rob a family. The determined woman, accompanied by her son, fearlessly confronted the robbers and managed to apprehend one of them by kicking him, forcing the other to flee the scene.
These incidents underscore the need for enhanced security measures and prompt law enforcement actions to curb the growing wave of street crimes in the city, ensuring the safety and peace of mind for Karachi’s residents.
