BCCI president impressed by Pakistan’s hosting; describes visit as wonderful

Roger Binny, the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), expressed his admiration for Pakistan’s hosting during his recent visit. Binny, along with a delegation, arrived in Lahore on September 4 and returned to India via the Wagah border after a short but memorable trip.

Upon his return, Binny spoke to the Indian media and described the experience in Pakistan as wonderful. He drew parallels with the hosting during the Test match in 1984, emphasizing the warm reception they received.

Binny further mentioned that they were treated with great hospitality, which made their visit enjoyable. They had the opportunity to meet officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and both sides were pleased with the visit.

Rajeev Shukla, the Vice President of BCCI, also shared his thoughts on the two-day visit. He described it as positive, highlighting a dinner hosted in their honor by the Governor of Punjab and commending the PCB’s hosting.

Regarding the resumption of cricketing ties between the two countries, Shukla clarified that the decision rests with the respective governments. BCCI will abide by the directives of the Indian government, emphasizing that the visit was purely related to cricket and did not have any political agenda.
