Former federal minister Farooq Sattar has extended an invitation to Afaq Ahmed, the Chairman of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement, to join Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), as efforts for the unification of MQM factions continue. Farooq Sattar emphasized the importance of unity for the betterment of the community and welcomed those who have already joined MQM-P. He urged Afaq Ahmed to set aside any differences for the sake of collective progress.
The call for unification comes amid ongoing efforts to bring together various factions of MQM. Earlier this year, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori had a meeting with Afaq Ahmed, where discussions revolved around the current political situation, the unification of MQM factions, and other matters related to Urban Sindh. The potential collaboration aims to strengthen the political landscape and representation of the Mohajir community in the region.
