On the directives of IBA Sukkur Vice Chancellor Dr. Asif Sheikh, the Sindh government has enforced Section 144 at the MDCAT test centers to ensure a smooth and transparent examination process.
As per Daily Jang reports, Dr. Asif Sheikh stated that all preparations for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) are finalized, with monitoring teams formed under commissioners’ supervision.
Rangers and police will provide security at the centers, and Dr. Sheikh himself will oversee operations at two centers in Karachi.
Entry and exit arrangements have been established at various gates.
Candidates at the University of Karachi will use the Staff Town, Maskan, and Metroville Gates, while women visitors at the NED University center will enter through a dedicated gate, while, male candidates will use the main gate.
The report further disclosed that the examination papers, prepared under Dr Sheikh’s supervision, will be unsealed at 8:30 am at NED University in the presence of journalists.
Over 38,000 candidates are expected to take the test, distributed across Karachi, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Nawabshah, Larkana, and Sukkur.
To ensure fairness, the FIA, provincial health department, and PM&DC have been involved, with formal requests made for their assistance.
