Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation and Anti-Narcotics Mukesh Kumar Chawla said that an amount of 8521.434 million of motorcycle tax has been collected in Karachi.
In the statement of financial year 2020-21, the report of annual motor vehicle tax and property tax has been issued by Ministry of Excise and Taxation and Anti-Narcotics.
In Hyderabad, an amount of Rs 494.174 million of motor vehicle tax has been collected this year.
Moreover, it also collected tax in other parts of Sindh. An amount of Rs 233.420 million has been collected in Sukkar while in Shaheed Benazirabad, it collected Rs 92.363 million of motorcycle tax.
In Larkana, the tax collection of motor vehicle made up to Rs 119.223 million, and Rs 59.434 million in Mirpur Khas.
On the other hand, the tax collection on properties made up to Rs 1520.132 million in Karachi. and in Hyderabad, the amount of Rs 77.334 million of property tax was collected.
Rs 37.501 million in Sukkar, Rs 10.241 million rupees in Shaheed Benazirabad collected as property tax. While in Larkana Rs 23.470 million and Rs 11.197 million has been collected as property tax.
It is being advised to the staff to make tax collection more efficient for the next financial year 2021-22, said Mukesh Kumar.
