The residents of Karachi should prepare themselves for another heatwave as the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of potentially high temperatures for the next three days. The department has stated that due to a change in the winds in Karachi and that the intensity of heat will increase from April 7.
According to meteorologists, strong sunshine is expected throughout the day, making the heat more intense than usual. During the day, winds will continue to blow from the northeast, while sea breezes are likely to prevail.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that the temperature on Thursday is expected to reach 34 degrees Celsius, while on Friday, it may soar between 34 to 37 degrees Celsius. This heatwave is anticipated to last for four days.
It is important to note that Karachi has been facing recurring heat waves over the past few years, causing several health hazards, including dehydration and heat strokes. Therefore, it is advisable for residents to take precautionary measures during the predicted period of high temperatures, such as staying hydrated, wearing light clothing, avoiding direct sunlight, and staying indoors during the hottest part of the day.
