The Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) large tax peer unit has become the country’s largest tax collector’s office.
Last year’s record of tax collection from Tax Office Karachi from July 2021 to April 2022 was broken.
In 10 months, more than a trillion rupees were collected in taxes in Karachi.
has released 10-month data, which collected 41% more tax than last year.
The Karachi office also surpassed the federal government’s target of tax collection.
The government had set a target of Rs 1.12 trillion for LTOs and the collection was more than Rs 1.26 trillion.
