Bilawal Bhutto Zardari urges public support for 2024 elections, pledges change and unity

Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and former foreign minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, reaffirmed his appeal to the public, urging them to grant him an opportunity in the upcoming general elections in 2024. Speaking at the Workers’ Convention in Upper Dir, Bilawal expressed his commitment to altering Pakistan’s destiny if given the chance to serve.

Addressing the gathering, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari criticized the prevalent politics of division and hatred, emphasizing the substantial damage it inflicts on Pakistan and its people. He pointed out that senior politicians engaging in personal vendettas contribute to this divisive atmosphere.

Taking a swipe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari blamed them for the record inflation in the country. He remarked that those who ascended to power on the promise of "change” have only brought about "destruction.”

Bilawal outlined the PPP’s vision, stating that his party aims to grant ownership rights to provinces over their resources. Upon assuming power, the PPP plans to ensure the implementation of the 18th Constitutional Amendment and the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award.

In a commitment to streamlining governance, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari pledged to address hindrances created by various ministries in Islamabad, ensuring efficient public service. He promised that the PPP, once in power, would work to save the budget of ministries causing obstruction.

The PPP chairman asserted that the solutions to the country’s problems are not difficult, emphasizing the need for a strong will to serve the masses. Bilawal reiterated the PPP’s belief in the power of the people and its longstanding commitment to representing the common citizens. The address underscored Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s determination to bring about positive change and unity in Pakistan through responsible governance.
