Pakistan launches mobile app for visa-on-arrival access

Pakistan Visa on arrival

Pakistan has introduced a mobile app, “Pak ID,” to simplify the visa-on-arrival process for travelers from 120 countries.

Developed by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), the app allows users to apply for business and tourist visas, track application status, and obtain visas online.

The app also features advanced technology, such as face recognition and document reading, making it easier for travelers to complete their visa applications.

Currently, Pakistan’s online visa system caters to citizens of 192 countries, with 120 eligible for visa-on-arrival.

In addition to visa services, the Pak ID app enables Pakistanis to apply for and receive essential documents like Computerized National Identity Cards (CNIC) and Family Registration Certificates (FRC) online.

The app reduces the need for long waits at NADRA centers, offering a more convenient process with the option of having documents delivered to applicants’ doorsteps.

The app also allows users to upload photos, verify fingerprints, and make online payments for a smooth and efficient experience.

This step is part of NADRA’s broader initiative to modernize services for citizens and overseas Pakistanis alike.
