A three-person national women's squad has departed for Jordan to compete in the International Tent Pegging Championship for the first time in the history of the nation.

From September 22 to 24, the Championship will take place in Petra, a historic and ancient city in Jordan. This will be Pakistan's first time taking part in a significant women's tent pegging competition.

The Pakistani women's team is competing in significant international competition for the first time, according to Sahibzada Sultan, president of the Equestrian Federation of Pakistan (EFP).

The team is well-prepared, and hopefully, we will play well, he continued.

The EFP previously organised an open trial to choose the national women's squad for the competition.

“For the first time in the history of Pakistan, the women’s national team was selected through an open trial,” said team coach Haroon Bandial.
