Two men accused of killing South Korean man arrested

Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two men who allegedly killed a South Korean man in Karachi.

Details provided by the police say that Fayyaz Hussain Masih alias Fiji and Ali Haider Junejo were arrested from Karachi and the dead South Korean man’s mobile phone, wallets and cash wad recovered from them.

Police said that the arrested suspects killed South Korean national Chong Daewan by slitting his throat with a sharp instrument in Kashmir Colony on November 14. One of the two arrestees was living near the victim's house in Kashmir Colony.

According to the police, the accused men said that they had entered the house of the victim with the intention of stealing from him but when the victim Chong Daewan woke up, they tied up his hands and feet and killed him by cutting his throat.

Police say that the suspects killed Chong Daewan out of the fear of him recognising them in a police lineup.
