The suspect, identified as Abdul Shahaab, was apprehended by the police in the Aram Bagh area of Karachi. Shahaab was known for his involvement in pickpocketing and various robberies. The breakthrough in his arrest came through the assistance of CCTV footage, which played a crucial role in identifying and locating the suspect.
The captured CCTV footage reveals the moment when the accused successfully hypnotized the shopkeeper, leaving him in a trance-like state, and swiftly taking the money from the cashier before making his escape.
Following the release of the CCTV footage, a widespread search for the suspect was initiated by the police. Within a remarkable span of 24 hours, the Aram Bagh police managed to apprehend the suspect. Authorities have indicated that the arrested individual, Abdul Shahaab, has a history of similar robberies.
SSP South, Asad Raza, confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused, and further investigation is currently underway. Additionally, the police are conducting a thorough examination of his criminal record to gather more evidence related to his previous activities.
