In the second round of the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers, Jordan displayed a dominant performance, defeating Pakistan by a staggering seven-nil margin in a one-sided encounter held in Oman.

The match, held at the Oman International Stadium, witnessed Jordan's relentless offensive prowess, spearheaded by Musa Al-Tmari, who secured a remarkable hat-trick with three goals to his name.

The game kicked off with a swift pace as the host team, Jordan, launched successive attacks on the Pakistani goal. In the fifteenth minute, Musa Al-Tmari found the back of the net, securing the first goal for Jordan.

Jordan extended their lead to 2-0 when Yazan-ul-Naimat successfully converted a penalty kick in the 28th minute. Despite Pakistan's efforts to retaliate, they struggled to breach Jordan's defense.

Entering the second half with a 2-0 deficit, Pakistan faced an uphill battle as Jordan continued their offensive onslaught. Saeed Al-Rossan widened the gap further by scoring Jordan's third goal in the seventh minute after halftime.

Maintaining their momentum, Jordan capitalized on opportunities, with Musa Al-Tmari netting his second goal in the 57th minute. Ali Alwan and Abu Muhammad further compounded Pakistan's woes by adding goals in the 75th and 83rd minutes, respectively.

With this defeat, Pakistan suffered their most significant loss in the last 16 years, highlighting the formidable performance delivered by Jordan in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. In their previous encounter, Jordan had also emerged victorious with a 3-0 win over Pakistan.
