Dr Rudiger Lotz, Consul General Germany met Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Mayor Karachi at KMC head office to discuss issues of common interest.

The mayor told Dr Rudiger that the scope for cooperation between Pakistan and Germany is huge and they can collaborate in various fields.  Germany attained a significant position in the development of science and technology and the provision of urban facilities. 

The mayor further said,” We have upgraded Karachi’s basic urban infrastructure”. He claimed that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, District Municipalities, and other institutions have worked together to provide the residents of Karachi with high-quality facilities.

The mayor mentioned to the Consul General of Germany that there are great opportunities for investments in Karachi for German companies and complete assistance and facilitation would be given to German investors. 

Rudiger Lotz said, “Bilateral relations between Pakistan and Germany should be more stable in the future and this would increase mutual relations”.

He said that Karachi, the principal coastal metropolis of South Asia, was home to two ports and that, thanks to the international airport, Karachi had grown to be a significant hub for commercial and industrial activity.
