The German support organization Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) is offering scholarships for Pakistani students wishing to pursue a Master's degree through their Development-Related Postgraduate Courses (EPOS). The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan announced the availability of these scholarships on Tuesday.

Under the EPOS program, foreign graduates from development and newly industrialized countries, from various disciplines, with at least two years of professional experience, have the opportunity to pursue a postgraduate or Master's degree at a state or state-recognized German university.

The scholarships are available in a wide range of fields, including Economic Sciences/Business Administration/Political Economics, Development Cooperation, Engineering and Related Sciences, Regional and Urban Planning, Agricultural and Forest Sciences, Natural and Environmental Sciences, Medicine and Public Health, Social Sciences, Education and Law, and Media Studies.

Pakistani graduates with a relevant Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of professional experience are eligible to apply. Candidates should demonstrate their motivation for development-related work and their commitment to initiating and supporting processes of change in their personal and professional environments after completing their training or scholarship.

Applicants should be working for a public authority, state institution, or private company in a developing country, engaged in planning and executing directives and projects with a focus on development policies in technological, economic, or social areas.

To be eligible, candidates must have completed their academic degree with above-average results and possess at least two years of related professional experience after their first degree (bachelor) at the time of application. Degrees should not be more than six years old, and applicants who have resided in Germany for more than 15 months will not be considered for the scholarship.
